The Minister of Public Service, Milner Tozaka has launched the Public Service Community website.
The website is expected to elevate the training delivery within the public service and produce quality public servants with higher standards of professionalism.
Speaking at the official launch of the website in Honiara, Mr Tozaka said the occasion was a historical event that will mark the establishment of learning in public service training and human resources pool through e-training in the country.
Mr Tozaka said the fundamental principle of the Online In-country Community is to enhance the coordination of IPAM courses.
He said it is also to empower human resources with relevant government information, improve the capacity of human trainers and facilitators, and participants.
Mr Tozaka said the website is also an avenue of networking by trainers of human resources managers through the sharing and receiving of knowledge, experience and skills in the public sector.
Currently the sites are hosted as the Pacific Village Online - WWW.thepacificvillage.org portal.
